Qualifications: The list below reflects the minimum requirements for this job: - An A.S. Degree or equivalent in electronics with additional training in radiation physics is required. ICC certification of CRES is desirable.
- A practical understanding of the application of CT x-ray systems including generators, high tension circuits, x-ray detectors, system computers and contrast media injectors.
- A working knowledge of the theory and practice of microcomputer PC hardware systems and software CT applications is required.
- Knowledge and understanding of safety and hazards associated with ionized radiation producing equipment and other types of medical electronic equipment.
- The ability to troubleshoot down to the assembly level on circuit boards and assemblies.
- Proven capability to interact on a professional level with physicians, managers, peers, and equipment users.
- Manufacturers' training on CT imaging equipment such as Siemens, General Electric, or Philips Systems is highly desirable.
- Four years experience maintaining CT imaging equipment is required.
